Manned Underwater Vehicle “ARGUS” (1975). |
 |
MUV "Argus" is
a 9,5-ton, three-men submersible, capable of operating at depths approaching 600
m is intended primarily for performing scientific research, inspection,
engineering works, filming, photography, search and recovery of underwater
objects. It has 7- degrees manipulator.
MUV "Argus"
have the following operational capabilities:
- carrying
out scientific oceanological, geological, biological,
chemical and other
researches;
-
undertaking
engineering works and emergency-salvage operations.
|
MUV "Argus" can be equipped also
for the measurements of hydrophysical and hydrochemical parameters of marine
environment, measurements of electrical field potential beside the seabed and
estimation of magnetic field anomalies, measurements of density, temperatures
and pressure, analysis of heavy metals contents in sea water.
"Argus" also
has the capability of working for following operations at all range of depth:
·
Telephoto shooting and visual inspection of underwater objects;
·
Search of sinks objects and mapping of seabed;
·
Marking objects at the seabed by any kind of beacon (responders, transponders,
flashlighters, etc.);
·
Engineering-work, at underwater oil-gas pipelines, structural work of industrial
installation.

Manned
Underwater Vehicle "Argus" was designed and constructed in Experimental Design
Bureau of Oceanological Engineering (EDBOE) and trial operated in South Brunch
of EDBOE at the Black Sea (nearby Gelendjik). "Argus" was operated in different
regions of the World Ocean. Now MUV "Argus" is in South Brunch of EDBOE.
Manned
Underwater Vehicle “OSMOTR” (1986). |

Manned Underwater
Vehicle (MUV) "Osmotr" is a 14,6-ton, two hulls, five-men submersible capable of
operating at depths approaching 300 m with two saturated divers. First command
hull with normal pressure has pilot, co-pilot (or observer) and diver’s
specialist. Second contained two divers. Both hulls can be connected with help
of hatch between them. It has 7- degrees manipulator too. MUV "Osmotr" was
intended primarily for performing scientific research, underwater inspection,
engineering works, filming, photography, search and recovery of objects
‘in
situ’ with diver’s including aid.
|
The MUV "Osmotr"
have the standard operational capabilities including:
-
delivery two saturated
divers under high pressure from deck diver’s complex to work position at the
depth up to 200 m and back;
- delivery two divers
from a support vessel or from a coastal base to work position at the depth up to
100 m and back. - - In this case decompression carry out in diver’s hull of MUV on
the deck of support vessel or at the coastal base.
- Due
to good storage electrical energy lockout "Osmotr" can be equipped by different
kinds of special instruments with the hydraulic drive for example for sampling
from the seabed.
- "Osmotr" also can
be used as tourist vehicle.

|
Submersibles “Rift”
are 15-ton, three-man submersibles capable to operate at depth approaching 4 km
(all devices and units are designed for 6 km although crew sphere was
certificated for 4 km). Submersibles “Rift” are intended primarily to carry out
scientific research, works with research drilling ship (she was not completed
too), underwater inspection, search and recovery etc.
All structures of
“Rift” were produced from Ti alloys.
Two submersibles
“Rift-1” and “Rift-2” are being built simultaneously.
"Rift" also can be used as tourist vehicles for extremal tourism for example on
black smokers or other deepwater objects.
